The City Council asphalted Taegu street and completed the Mejora Tu Barrio plan’s


The Seville City Council, through coordinated work between the Este-Alcosa-Torreblanca District and the Urban Planning and Environment Management within the 2022 Plan Improve Your Neighborhood, has completed the works on the new road education park that completes the municipal facilities located at the confluence of Japan, Tokyo, Sumatra and Borneo streets and the asphalting of streets as is the case of Taegu, adjacent to the area of ​​this Sector 12.

On the plot that has just been conditioned, a space linked to driver education has been designed with a budget of 60,000 euros for a circuit in which minors will play learning basic rules of the highway code with any type of non-motorized vehicle such as scooters, bicycles or tricycles complementing the perspective of the pedestrian. It also incorporates traditional games such as hopscotch or labyrinths that comply with universal accessibility regulations as committed to associations and entities through the Mejora Tu Barrio 2022 plan.

At the same time, the construction of a new children’s play area has been tendered with a tender budget of 204,698 euros, which will be located at the confluence of the streets Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and Pakistan with rearrangement of the plot, new pedestrian itineraries, and innovative children’s games adapted for children with functional diversity for ages between 5 and 12 years.

As part of the action plan that had been committed to the neighborhood and business associations of Emilio Lemos and its surroundings, the resurfacing of Taegu street, attached to the new playgrounds, has also been completed as part of the plan to improve the five-lane roads streets with a budget of 106,308 euros. These streets are Juan Pérez de Pineda (33,267.90 euros), Cycling (16,455.65 euros), Reactor (15,024.46 euros), Flor de Azalea (28,533.25) and Taegu itself (13,027.33 euros) and are have been carried out under the contract for the conservation and maintenance of public roads of the Urban Planning and Environment Management.

“These actions are added to a series of initiatives that come to improve Seville East once again. The processing of the Tranvibús for the improvement of communications, the conclusion of the works of the new civic center or the announcement of the new sports center suppose the fulfillment of the commitments with our neighbors and substantial improvements for the neighbourhood. Specifically in this area, road improvements have also been faced in recent years, such as in Manila, Indonesia or Japan streets; the new enclosure of the Alcosa Market space; the new Children’s Park on another plot on Calle Japón; the expansion of the IMD Sendai Sports Center facilities, with a new state-of-the-art artificial turf soccer field, a sports field, new lighting towers, changing rooms and automated irrigation; the landscaping of the medians by Emilio Lemos; or the change of streetlight luminaires for LED technology, among others”, as detailed by the delegate of the Este-Alcosa-Torreblanca District, Juan Tomás de Aragón, after visiting the area.
