Spain Announces Squad To Face China, Norway Ahead of Women’s World Cup

The Spanish women’s football team coach Jorge Vilda on Friday announced his squad for the forthcoming friendly matches against Norway and China.

Spain plays Norway on April 6 and China five days later in what, for the moment, are their last confirmed matches ahead of the Women’s World Cup, which begins in Australia and New Zealand on July 20.

Although Barcelona’s Alexia Putellas was not in his squad, Vilda explained he would talk to the player who won the Best FIFA Women’s Player Award 2022 when she recovered from injury.

“We are waiting for Alexia to recover; then we will talk. But football is about the present and the present now is Norway and China,” he concluded.
